Canada Day 2012 Re-Imagined Gig Poster Designed and illustrated by John Belisle and Adam Rogers
18” x 26” poster printed on 100lb silk paper.
Inspiration:
“Growing up the 70’s Canada Day represented the first camping of the summer. It meant hooking up the pop up trailer, filling the styrofoam cooler and my dad stacking a few cases beer in the trunk, and off we went.”
So we imagined the Canada Day concert at Burl’s creek as if it was a bit of a throwback, using the classic Canadian stubby to present the information, and surrounding it with nature. We sort of pictured the concert going on and the little creatures sneaking a peak as the Hip plays through the night.
